Replacing 16" wheels with 18", Continental - Pirel

Hi,

My wife has an '07 S model Freelander 2 with 16" wheels sporting Continental 215/75R16 tyres. We think they look too small for the car and I have acquired some new wheels off another Freelander 2. These are 18" with Pirelli Scorpion Zeros at size 235/60/18.

Can I make a straight switch, I think I can, but will this require a speedo adjustment? I am unsure of ratios etc.. the new wheels look significantly beefier...

Thanks in advance!

Current tyre size
Tyre width: 215
Tyre profile: 75
Wheel size: 16
Overall diameter: 729mm
New tyre size
Tyre width: 235
Tyre profile: 60
Wheel size: 18
Overall diameter: 739mm
Difference in diameter: 1.37%Actual diameter change: 10mm
We recommend a MAXIMUM of +/- 2.5% difference

So should be ok but check speed against a sat nav. Common sense isn't very common.

Straight swap as your swapping 1 standard FL2 size to another standsrd FL2 size
. There will be no difference to Speedo at all.
