I hear Volvo discs work too, there are instances on here where it took a long time before everything worked I think mine was about 30 minutes maybe try taking the disc out doing a hard reset on battery cables and try again. People say leave engine running to avoid power saving shutting down or go for a drive.

I updated mine recently, inserted disc, drove home from work, that was an hour, and all I had was the screen turning on and off all the way. I thought the updated disc may well be faulty. Left everything as was and turned the car off when I got home locked the doors and didn't think about it until the morning. Got in the car and on the drive to work the screen turned on & off a few times then stopped and everything began to work as normal and my maps were updated.

I would be inclined to just unlock your car and remove the disc (don't do anything else at this point) check the disc is clean and free from scratches, if so, re-insert the disc, slide the locking cover over get in your car and go for a drive and see what happens

Yeah, when I had mine and I bought an update disc off eBay, I thought I'd completely cocked my satnav up. Anyway, I'd resigned myself to having to get a new satnav and was kicking myself for buying a 'bargain' off eBay but after about 3 hours, all was fine. Hang in there! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

When I had my X-type Jag I updated to the 2012 and as said earlier it took forever and I must admit that the update was not worth the wait.....

Don't forget it is a special DVD that has 12.5 gigabytes which takes a long time to process (and write if you have an iso file) If it ain't ***ked don't fix it
