Another fuel gauge issue - solved

Just in case this helps anyone. About 4 weeks ago shortly after topping up with fuel my gauge registered exactly half full. I thought one of the senders had failed. As I burnt off fuel so the gauge would drop from the half full point. I lived with this until a couple of days ago and had just come to the conclusion that it would have to have a new (two new) senders fitted. However just before taking the plunge I thought I would try a hard reset never expecting it to be successful. It worked - one hard reset and everything back to normal. Amazing!

Hard resets have now cured my radio three times, twice radio not coming on and once the radio refusing to switch off even with the ignition off and the key out. I may even have cured the one rear door not locking but I'm not sure about that one, could have been coincidence.

I am a big fan of hard resets - try it before anything else. Battery terminals off (negative before positive) and held together for 10 seconds or so then refitted (positive first).
