air con

can any one confirm that if I have the heat temperature set to cold both sides fan on (auto)with air con off,after a while the system senses im asking for the lowest temperature but cant obtain it so switches compressor on automatically with no light to bring the temperature down,i definitely can feel the air get colder.and im sure I saw the compressor engage in this situation when I first got the car,but thought it was my imagination Question

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Firenze Red

When I run my motor with no aircon I turn on the vents and set the blower working. It goes to the temp I set it at so may first warm the air, so once at that temp it will then feel a little cooler. All works fine until high humidity day (windows closed) and then screen mists so aircon is needed to keep screen clear.

I think the standard setting on most modern cars today s to run with aircon always on.

I assume you are changing your cab pollen/aircon filter as per the service schedule. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
