They are the largest vehicle manufacturer in the UK, good to see they want to keep it that way and not move production elsewhere. |

Yes in cities would be my answer. The hybrid is coming and will have the biggest impact within the market place. Another question is what will happen to all that unwanted diesel ? FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current |

Dunno about the demise of diesel, but perhaps the demise of driving skills and common sense in the name of technology for technology's sake.

A hybrid Porsche (919 iirc) won the Le Mans 24 hr by miles last weekend. 2litre turbo V4 with 4WD electric motors - about 900BHP.

Not if anyone has any sense it won't! Euro 6 petrol and euro 6 diesels are all euro 6 compliant so what is the difference?! It is just the green nut jobs trying to do away with cars as usual and realising the media will not raise the blatantly obvious point above so could create probs! |

AdBlue is cheap as chips, my D4 didn't require a top up until its first service, my D5 should make it to its first service though it seems to burn more than the D4. AdBlue is the easiest way to reduce the Nox levels in a diesel car and it's no more of an effort than topping up the windscreen washers. I won't be giving up my diesel any time soon, I just wish they put the 4.4 SDV8 in the D5. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |
