TR Keeps Changing Back to G,G & Snow

last night, i got in my car and Selected grass, gravel & snow as my driveway was quite slippery from were i had washed the car Laughing

Went to the Chinese , (I know somebody will ask Mr. Green came back with chicken sweet & sour, Special with Mushrooms, Fried rice & chips and a combination starter) and on the way back i turned TR to normal

Went back out a this morning & a few hours later, got in drove off, noticed the car had gone back to grass, gravel & Snow setting each time after selecting normal Confused

so again i selected normal this evening, and this has happen each time i have gone back out to the car, all short trips

I presume it should have no bearing factor on the length of trip, outside conditions (cold or very cold).

Has anybody else found this Question

I thought the car should stay in the mode selected after a restart so you don't have to reselect the TR program if you stall, such as mud & rut if you stall whilst going up a hill, likewise if you are using the car in snow Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I thought that I read in the manual that it keeps the same settings for up to 6 hours after the ignition is turned off. Question

Bit strange that it is changing to GGS after you have changed it back to "normal" mode. Can only think that it maybe related to the cold weather Question ______________________

the 6 hour rule seem sensible, makes me think you have to have it is the selected 'mode' for a set period of time. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Should stay in the mode you select, so if you're changing in from GGS to "normal" before you switch the ignition off then it should be in "normal" mode next time you start then car. Unless you're switching it after you've turned the ignition off Confused ______________________

Taken from owner handbook.

The special programs remain active for six
hours after the ignition is turned off. If the
ignition is turned on again within six hours the
program will remain active. After six hours the
general program is automatically selected. Freelander2 GS TD4 Manual in Lago Grey Smile .Roof Mount DVD 9.2''Screen~Window Tints~Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth~Retro Fit Sony Satnav~iPhone Dashmount~Side Steps~Woodco Armrest~Mudflaps~Land Rover Sunglass Holder~LED Interior Lights~Private Plate.Evoque Collected 17th Sept 2012.

Well started the car up today and then noticed that the dash display said "Special Programs Turned off" without any intererence from me.

Got to the office and popped out and GGS had come back on Rolling Eyes

Now, I have noticed to today, when the TR selector is on Normal, and i turn it in the direction of normal it flashes up that "Special Programs Turned off"

Does anybody elses do that? Question I'm think faultly TR Dial Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Sounds like a software failure to me or it could be a sign that we're going to have a winter where GGS is gonna be a constant requirement - here's hoping anyway!! Very Happy I've used the GGS recently in the bit of snow we had and it changed back okay without any other issues. I suspect the dealer will put it under the 'software update' umbrella as they seem to do with any problems!! Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

I've been chopping and changing GGS to Genral driving and I've not had any problems. Must be a fault in the TR software.
