I know it's not a video to fix the "buzz" but it shows how the grill comes of.

Did mine today , the grill was harder to come off than the one on the video .. The nut took about 4 or 5 turns to tighten .. I will take the car out over the next few days to see if the "buzz" has gone. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

More vibration sources found

Hi all, found two sources last week I thought I'd share.

Vibration/buzzing under seat at the usual 1700rpm.

There is a black bracket at the back of the front sub frame. This acts as a support for the exhaust. Held on with two bolts. One of these was loose by a good couple of turns. Bracket then acts as a nice tuning fork. Tightened and buzzing under seat gone. Also vibration reduced quite a lot. Makes me think the 1700rpm vibration is something to do with exhaust.

I believe it was left loose after clutch was replaced.

Metallic rattle/buzzing from engine bay.

There is a white plastic circular support around the turbo hose from intercooler to the throttle body. Down below drivers side headlight. You can just about reach with your hand. Mine was really loose and rattles like crazy.
Held on by a single self tapper from the front. Not easy to tighten and I thought I'd have to remove bumper to get to it.
But, getting under the car I could just get between the bumper and guard. With a short torx bit (I can't remember size) held sideways in the jaws of some mole grips I could just manage to get a few turns on the screw. Now all silent.

Hope this helps, Cheers, JGH99. Freelander 2 GS Stornoway Grey
