I'm not sure if I like it or not, maybe it's the paint job? Definitely won't like the price!

It's just price I'm waiting for, but I think with this one the sky's the limit on pricing. 29th the prices are announced after its world premiere. My current D4 is only a year old, so no need to change but if I do I would rather take it before the new VED system in April 2017. £140 + £310 because it's over £40k for the first 5 years. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

what I don't get with this new VED system is how it can be based on the value of the new purchase price. Surely that is covered in VAT that you already pay on the car so your effectively paying tax on the car twice ????

seems to me its a even more blatent way of taxing us multiple times for the same thing...... VAT on fuel + fuel duty per litre as an example.

Would seem to be a way for manufacturers to compete on the best goodies list at £39,999.99, only problem with that is that engineering is substituted by bling, suspension parts and anything outside the drive train will be poor quality. Can't see it lasting long unless it becomes linked to RPI. For those who think the Korean and other far east makes are a bargain, stick your heads underneath and check the size of the suspension parts and mounts my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.

The loss of the 3 adult seats in the 2nd row ain't too handy.

I'll wait until I see the prices before I make my mind up. So long as it's better than the Evoque I had today as a loaner, SE Tech 2.0 TD4 manual, awful thing, uncomfy, sluggish not any smoother than the PSA engine, felt every bump in the road. I liked my Evoque when I had it but I suppose I'm too used to the Disco. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Absolutely! Thumbs Up

Primary school children only mind. After that you'll need a full sized one - something like a D4! Rolling Eyes

England 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Stornoway Grey

Wind back the clock a few years and JLR has a distinctive set of vehicles, the workhorse Defender, the Discovery which hinted at the Range Rover and then the Freelander. All had an appeal to different users. The one thing that united them was the badge, you knew what you were getting and you knew what it could do. The Camel Trophy cemented in peoples minds the ability regardless of if you needed it or not.

Fast forward to today. Lets launch another vehicle that looks exactly the same as all of the others in the range, hardly exciting or inspiring stuff. One of the reasons I started my life long ownership of Land Rovers in all their shapes and sizes was I did not want to be driving another eurobox.

I am thinking the FL2 I have now will be my last 'modern' Land Rover, Ill be heading backwards, a nice 'old' defender will probably suit me.........
