Just got my Freelander 2 TD4 & it's filthy under the bonnet am I ok to power wash it? |

Avoid obvious places like electrics alternator service filling places like oil brake fluid etc cover if you can and you should be fine. Pre treat with a degreaser and work in with a brush helps. |

Thanks all I will give it a go, just fitting tow bar and electrics, taken rear bumper off and wheel arch liners could not believe how much came out 2 shovel fulls, all cleaned with power wash looks like new. |

Been under mine recently it's worth getting under the jacking points and pulling the plastic trim away and banging about or poking in with a blade it's surprising how much rubbish comes out. |

Found my Rover hated being power washed with lots of noise from the pumps and belts afterwards. Needed lots of WD to sort it asap so if I do it now I play safe and keep engine running and spray liberally with WD40 or similar as soon as I have stopped washing before turning off engine.
