I've had dozens of similar emails over the last 5 or so years. I believe the next step for anyone responding is to ask for some money up front so that the transfer can be arranged. Needless to say no money will be transferred.

The ones asking for catalogues and quotations to supply goods normally involve the bogus customer placing an sales order and asking for a pro-forma invoice. They then contact you and say that their bungling accounts office have overpaid and can we return the overpayment.
