I recently fitted a genuine LR twin electrics kit from Duckworth to my 2007MY FL2. I just hooked my trailer up to the 12N socket to test them, and nothing. No lights on the trailer (which I know work).

That kind of makes sense, thanks. Mine's in for a service a week on Tuesday so will have to get LR to do it then, unless my local indie can help. |

So I popped to the local indy today and he enabled the towing module in the ECU. Came back home and hooked up the trailer (two actually) and still nothing. Going to pop back in to see him tomorrow morning, but I'm guessing he's not done this before. Anyone have any specific things I should ask him to do? How do we go about "getting the software installed"? |

There is no software to install, its a case of enabling what is already there. I'd be interested in your reply tomorrow. |

Me too now. Two posts above seem to suggest getting software files and coding the Fomoco unit. Will report back tomorrow. |

It is very easy to enable if you take your time and select correct module/sockets etc.

Thanks. I'll certainly be doing that this time. If not, I'll be asking for my money back and will have to leave it for the main dealer to sort next week. Had a quick look at your images - is that Autologic? Doesn't look like the system my indy was using today. |

Yes interesting post 'alpacaman', obviously my MY13 needed none of the above but my previous MY11 only needed the options turning on by the Indy's Autologic and that was a Witter supply of towbar and dedicated loom. Why some modules are already loaded with the software and only require enabling and why some require a download is puzzling.

The indy sorted it with Autologic, thanks to the help of this forum. They've learned something new today too. I'm betting that LR would have charged me a lot more than £20+VAT to do the same job. |
