Replacing intercooler hose (LR066429)

Has anyone changed this intercooler to manifold hose themselves, and does the bumper need to be removed to fit? My local garage says it does, but others on the web say it doesn't.

Does anyone have knowledge of this job? Thank you Smile

Yes, I do mean intercooler to throttle body, sorry!

So, bumper on...

Lucky, for once, that I have small hands..

From intercooler to manifold there are two rubber hoses.
The lower one - from under, engine shield off.
The upper one - no hassle, without removing anything additional.

Many thanks. This is sounding easier by the minute!

So, this may be a stupid question, but my garage told me the intercooler to throttle body pipe needed changing and ordered me part no. LR066429, but if you Google it he part number it says it's the intercooler to manifold hose. Is this the same thing?

Have included photo of the hose.

Yes that is the throttle body that it connects to.

Just swapped it over now. There was no way on earth I could have changed the bottom hose without taking the bumper off, but luckily it was the top hose which had perished.

A couple of scuffed arms later and the pick up of the car is noticeable on acceleration.

Thanks again to you all for pointing me in the right direction.
