Proper job j77. Keep us posted on how you get on with it - I know its not a Freely2 but we can forgive you that transgression. I would be very happy to have a D4 - the motoring journos that refer to it as past it's best are high on catnip. I would have a D4 if they had kept it aimed at the rugged utility side of 4 x 4 motoring where the D3 sat rather than the high tech luxury barge end of the market. But if you have to go into the rough at least you will be going in comfort. |

Yep a lot of journalists says it's seen its day. I think this EU6 engine feels and sounds smoother, AdBlue tank says it has 15553mls till empty so won't need to touch it until service time.

An absolutely super car. Comfortable, roomy, great driving position and superb off road. Enjoy! |

The FL2 has ISOfix! Or do you mean the DS's is somehow better? |

Better. Then again, I've had seat covers on since day one so I can't remember what the rear seats look like... |

I've been driving a Discovery Sport for the first time today as a loaner whilst my Freelander 2 in for service. My overwhelming impression is that I was driving an Audi Estate: Well made, luxurious, and with all the gadgets...but the driving position is just too low down for me

This one will see the year out I knew the day I picked the DS up I had made a big mistake, tried to make the best of it. I've got a few mods planned, but buying two Land Rovers in one year has left a hole in the bank account. I've got a few simple ones to do on Sunday, LED interior lights and number plate lights but I think I'm short of bulbs, I didn't realise the SE came with puddle lights, and fit LED reverse lights. I do fancy the 20" 501 style (I think) alloys and I'm not sure wether to go black pack or go silver as a bit of a contrast. Looking at roof rails as I liked them on my last one, also thinking about side tubes and about to order sill plates. I did notice my didn't come with a model badge, SEs are badgeless and SE Techs are badged SE, just a useless bit of info. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |

The November issue of Landrover Owner International Magazine captures the essence of the DS - "Its neither a true Discovery nor is it sporty".

trouble is its a brand new car and that pic could almost have been from 2005. Id prefer to wait a year for the new disco At work At home "I can't always believe facts I read on the web" - Charles Dickens winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race |
