Look at one of the largest threads, the MPG discussion thread, staggering how many people blindly buy a two tonne 4x4 and then whine at the fuel "economy" Laughing

I'm avg 9.6 to 10 l/100km, all city work, atm so I'm staggered how good the Freelander 2 is! And I've only done just over 5k! Amazed actually!!
With the Au $ heading the way it is atm then I'm sure a lot of petrol buyers will soon realise the pain at the pump soon enough! MY15

MPG is one of the reasons why Ive just left FL2/Land Rover ownership

Ive gone from averaging 33mpg to averaging 53mpg which I hope will improve as I get used to a different driving style again.

If I go back to owning a Land Rover in the future I may well look at an older model to use/abuse as a 2nd car.

Lol RogB, I suppose I can relate but in my case it was out of a Petrol Land Rover and into a Diesel Land Rover Laughing
Possibly the later model FL2's are better on diesel as I can't understand how some of you guys report so low mileage when I'm getting city mileage 28-30mpg and I'm right in the CBD, not neighbourhoods. I hit 9.9l/100 today only because I was driving around with A/C on! MY15

That one is HSE Lux which has the brighter lettering, my one is HSE which has darker lettering, now though you can get HSE Black which is as it says HSE with black pack.

twas a black pack then, cuts down on the in your face DISCOVERY wording.
black wheels makes sense what with all the brake dust on silvers ones, why fight it just use black.

I think I get 5% NFU discount on a HSE , ingenium gets a good write up in the press, as does the auto box At work

Fuji white or metallic yulong?

The 20s suit the DS fills the arches nice, maybe not ideal for farm roads though. I'm sure the HSE 19s are available in black as an accessory wheel.
