3.2 i6 wont start -any guidance please

Hi all
car been running great since day 1
it had the intermittent starting software update which immediately cured an initial problem and has run brilliantly since

jumped in it today key in pushed the start button and zip
everything illuminated as normal, just no starter?

wife had used the car an hour earlier no problems

battery fully charged, just starter totally dead?
checked all the fuses I could find all ok

is there a relay or fuse I have missed ? anyone know the starter motor fuse number and location?
only other two things im thinking of are starter motor completed knackered or no power to starter motor

your suggestions would be warmly received

Morocco 2007 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Zermatt Silver

Hi,
I hope that your car is ok by now.

My LR is a 2007 3.2 I6 SE. Very nice car, never had a problem with it, except once.

Two years ago, I had the same issue, it took me 3 months to fix it. The funny thing is that I don't know how they did fix it. They replaced all pumps, and several other parts, but the car kept failing to start. It took me, as I said, 3 months of my time, several emails to LandRover UK, LandRover Middle East, threatening them to take it to a court (They made me pay almost 1700€ for the replaced spare parts, which didn't solve the issue), and they finally sent a guy to Morocco, where I live, who quickly fixed the problem.

As I said, I don't know how he fixed the issue. But I suspect it's something that they just don't want to talk about.

Since then, no problem at all.

I don't mean to make you worry about your car's problem, I just hope that your local LR service is much better than mine.

Good luck and if you think that a list of what they replaced in my car could help, I can send this to you.
