I don't have any experience of this issue but from reading on the forum it seems like you've tried all the normal things.

The juddering and hiccups are definitely totally irregular but the EGR and EGR cooler are brand new so I would imagine they shouldn't still be causing a problem (I hope). The mechanic also said he cleaned the pipes that go from the EGR which were starting to congeal with nasty deposits.... . I was initially going to get the EGR blanked totally but the car was still under warranty by the RAC platinum warranty scheme but it turns out they don't really cover anything. At the time the first garage assured me that they'd make sure the job was covered but it turns out after they'd done the job and I'd payed they couldn't be bothered following it up with the RAC to claim my monies back. After that we took it to a different garage to get it diagnosed and they said the EGR cooler needed replacing but it should have been done with the EGR its self.

Hello. Would you describe the judder as, if your accelerating (any gear) then it is like someone turns a switch to the engine off and on very quickly and then it carries on as normal??

Hi and thanks for the follow up, it mostly happens around 70ish mph but sometimes it can happen above 50 but never below. It never seems to kick in when we're picking up speed but more so when we're maintaining a steady or constant speed.

From my experience of a Haldex software fault, it could be where you should look. Not the same, but sooo similar in many ways - at speed, grab, grab, grab through the transmission. http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic19396.html

Thanks Bob, I did read though your post but I quashed the idea when it was happening every 30seconds. It does sound similar apart from the regularity of it happening. I might remove the FB6 fuse and give it a go. Do you know if this will cause any damage to the transmission if I drive with the Haldex disengaged? It's booked into a Land Rover specialist in a couple of weeks but if can give him something to go at that would be brilliant!

Hi Simon. I was not advised removing the fuse would harm the transmission but I did not know for sure. Otherwise, if we had a Haldex failure we could just pull the fuse and drive without it . Certainly worth a test run though!

Fairly toasty today. 23 degrees where I was. Sitting at roundabout, saw a space open up, put the foot down. Car slowly rolled onto the carriageway. My heart almost exploded. Then so did the turbo and off we went. My foot was to the floor before anything more than pathetic happened.
