Alex, if you read this post. Can you disconnect the EGR electrics plug and fit a blanking plate?

Well after FOUR phone calls today with the first 3 not even being returned! I finally got to talk to someone, all they said ""it was fine when it left"", to which my dad said when he picked it up the ( I ) was on the screen, so either they are talking out of there bum or its broken on the 3 mile drive home |

With the auto you will get a sort of "sigh" from the box at each gearchange. Especially when you accelerate at more than a casual rate. It's a "characteristic" |

This is not that sound Bob, seems to only happen down on lower gears and when pushing maybe 25% of the throttle, might just be something they have done in the software, or have messed something else up |

Not sure if its a factory recall but when the freelander was dropped off they said it had to have a new heater thing fitted which has flagged up on there computer, basically would not give it back with out the new part being fitted, to which they fitted the brand new part and it did not work |

Dan, I notice you have a MY 07 model - ie getting on for 8 years old. My experience of LR dealers, admittedly going back a few years now, is that they usually only deal with cars up to 3-4 years old. As they often have a fairly high staff turnover, this means they know not much about older vehicles. Also, because they are used to dealing with new car warranty issues, they have no incentive to save you money and just keep banging in the new parts until it works (or not). I suspect that an indy expert, who is likely to deal mainly with older models, may have a better idea.
