Note : I just had an obsession about an integrated rear camera, IMO these should be standard on most vehicles, as it is an important safety feature.

I can't even imagine why LD would not fit rear cameras as standard on vehicles that already have a display, the incremental cost is just about zero, these cameras sell on eBay for USD7.

And if the car doesn't have a display, well, small monitors sell for less than USD10.

But it seems that market competition will force the issue, as many low-end vehicles now have rear cameras as a standard feature.

Hi,

this is my first post, and I just registered because I had the same problem - solved:

I don't know, if this works for those (most) of you, having the steering wheel on the wrong side Very Happy

If you open up your glove box and reach in the gap in direction of the speaker cover, you should be able to reach the underside of the clip on the left side. Pushing it will release the cover. After this itīs pretty easy to pull it of.

To reduce rattling afterwards it might be helpful to insulate the clips, since they tend to loosen a bit after removing the speaker cover.

I hope this was helpful.

By the way - needed to open the cover for this installation.

They are there Wink you just have to search a little. I don't know if it is different with the old center speaker cover.

Since I had to open it several times after mounting my TomTom I know for sure.

I might try to take a picture and post it later.

I took the cover off our car yesterday and frightened of damaging anything I cut 2 pieces of 20 thou plastic modelling card, slid one under the top corner, lifted slightly, then slid the other underneath the first one and put a small screwdriver between them, a little bit of up and down with the screwdriver and the cover popped off with no damage or marks.
