Yes Pab, that would appear to be the case, based on poll results so far.

Do we really need another DS thread that goes along the same lines as the one that's running? From reading the other thread it's safe to assume the DS hasn't hit the spot with most.

No we don't, I have asked if we can set up another forum entry for DS.

I'm not here to knock the DS but the picture below is a good reason why I went ahead and purchased one of the last Freelander 2's to be built for Australia.

Ive just bought one of the last SE Tech FL2 SD4. It got all the toys we'd want and more. Saved a load of cash compared to a SD. Yes the new Ingeniums will be more economical but in the big picture fuel costs are only a small part of vehicle ownership - depreciation being the biggest cost and I think the old engined SDs will crash in value once the Ingeniums are out. To me it's a cross between an Evoque, D4 and any US Ford SUV of 2000 era, not just Discovery Sport. When L405 Range Rover was launched it was also derided for looking like the Ford Explorer too. Now:

I think the Discovery replacement is going to be very similar. |

I'm not considering it at all. Too big and too expensive to be a replacement for the FL2 |
