So what shall I do to my diff to make it fail early? At work At home "I can't always believe facts I read on the web" - Charles Dickens winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race |

I presume towing a caravan to the Valencia region of Spain and back again might not be your "cup of tea" but that's where we had been. The week after we arrived home and I had gone back overseas to work the diff failed whilst my wife was driving. I'm very pleased it didn't occur whilst towing home through France and Spain as it could have been very dangerous. However the LR Assist mechanic told my wife that he thought the gearbox had exploded. All hell broke loose after receiving this information at my LR dealer and they had specialist engineers on standy ready to mobilise to investigate the cause etc...

Like most of us, I usually trade in after three years, then I always have a manufacturers warranty. And for those owners who keep their vehicles longer, Warranty Direct provide excellent cover.

I'm the same with fishing, I've lived on the side of the river Swale all my life ..apparently prized for fishing..but never been tempted to throw a rod over the water. I guess as I work outside. I don't get the urge to go out and be at one with nature on a weekend'

Think I may have that radio fault. Its cut out a few times, followed by intermittent sound loss for a few minutes then fine. I'd assumed it was linked to the guy who fitted my hands free kit but now I'm not so sure. Off to France next week so it will have to wait until I get back! |

12k miles in a year, and no faults at all (apart from the sunroof recall). Just had first annual service and received a clear sheet on the visual inspection of mechanics and bodywork. Life is not a dress rehearsal! |

You're neck and neck with me for miles/kms though your motor is a month younger than mine. I'm on 40800 miles (about 65500 kms) Good fun covering all those miles/kms isn't it. |
