KM / Mile on your FL2

What is the total KM/Miles on your freelander 2 ?
How many times did your FL2 had to go to the dealer for repairs during this time?
From the above maybe an reliability ratio can be worked out, like number of repairs per 1000 KM/Miles

5 months and over 9000 km, with no repairs to date.

It will be going in for replacement of the ventilation system fan in the next week or so. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

Gamba. Was that the noisy fan you were speaking about?
Did they finally admit there was a problem?
How noist was it?

I only ask because mine is driving me crazy at the moment, but is at such a pitch as I seem to be the only one to be able to hear it (even with the radio on).

The dealer said they'd need the car for a couple of days to replace the fan. It didn't take much convincing for them to agree it was a problem, but I've been out of the country for the last 3 weeks so didn't get teh chance to take it in yet.

Most shocking is they have no loan cars, so I'll be without the LR2 for a few days, so going to wait until I pick up my new car next week. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

Mine too, thought it was just me !! As with other low level faults, I think it'll be question of wait until soemthing breaks/stops working before it gets fixed!

my car is just about to turn 40k miles.

During that time it has not broken down Thumbs Up

It has been serviced twice Very Happy

It has also been returned 7 or 8 times for complaints and/or warranty matters Crying or Very sad

There have been two occasion where a part has failed, first there was a leak in the clutch hydraulic system, second the lock on the tailgate failed. Other than this the problems have been where something doesn't work correctly rather than not at all !!

Overall reliability I would say is good, because there have been no breakdowns. But the other issues requiring return to dealer are a pain.

Also still on original tyres Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Zermatt Silver

12,300 miles since purchased in June 2007.

At 4000 miles the rear differential failed and had to be replaced under warranty.

Air conditioning system has failed twice but is now being closely monitored as no reasons have been given for the loss of refrigerant

The vehicle has been serviced once just before it was one year old.

All servicing has been free and will continue to be so for another two years as part of the compensation package I received from my dealer after the rear diff failed. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
