Hi everyone, Chris B here.

I've just joined up today to get advice on what may (or may not) be a technical issue with my 1-month old Freelander 2. Query on a 6th gear vibration posted in techncial.

Apart from that I'm loving it after 3 Discoverys and about 400,000 miles in them. Fuel economy for the first 2000 miles is 38-40 MPG (UK) with trip computer reading about half an MPG better than a calculation based on miles and fuel added.

Bi-Xenon lights are fantastic - only used for one night drive home as its summer but I use them manually as auto brings them on a bit soon. I use auto wipers sparingly too for the same reason (they wipe more often than I want them too even in the slowest mode).

Haven't gone far off road yet but that will come. A ride-and-drive at LR Experince centre last April convinced me that Freelander would be my next vehicle - it's very clever and I love all the features that they don't fully explain in the brochure, e.g. locking features, instant bluetooth hands free, HDC has higher limit speed in 2nd than 1st, Gradient Brake Release, etc.

I hope someone can advise on my rumble problem soon

Cheers

Chris

IT'S HERE Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

My bright shiney BLACK XS arrived, at last on Thursday last week and I've not stopped grinning yet Very Happy
Done nearly 500 miles already and it's perfect.
Phone hooked up no bother, everything does what it should (so far).
Getting some rubber mats and mudflaps fitted tomorrow, as because I work for a quarrying company its already got rather dirty!!

But can anyone tell me when does the novelty wear off because my friends and family are already starting to look rather bored cos I can't stop chirping on about my new baby? ( Called "little BOB" due to reg beginning LB08) Santorini Black TD4 Manual XS, privacy glass, 6 CD Changer, Bi-Xenon lights......Bliss.Very Happy
Also have a Defender Double Cab, TD5, (black)modified by Nene, and 1962 Series 11a.
