Been to the dealers twice with an annoying rattle/buzzing. They couldn't find anything.

Something I found on mine was if you remove the battery cover there is a bracket with what looks like the alarm sounder on it. the end of the bracket on mine was very close to the bulkhead. I just set it forward a little so it cant touch it now.

Glad I found this thread, that rattle has been doing my head in, thought it was glove box handle until it rattled whilst it was being held, found this , tightened bolt, no rattle ! Thanks |

Is the side vent on passenger side easily removed? The rattle has come back and I want to get at the bolt with some locktite. Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

I couldn't take the vent out but managed to get the bolt out with a magnetised socket. The bolt is metal and looks OK but it won't tighten even after winding some silicon tape onto the thread. The hole doesn't seem to have any plastic insert and the bolt just spins. For me the only option is to have a nut and bolt at this joint but I don't think I can get to the back after looking from under the glove box and under the car hood. Any advice is much appreciated. |

I'm afraid I can't really help there, I would assume the plastic insert is pushed in from the outside and access is most likely not possible from the backside, that being the case I guess you'd have to remove the wing in order to take the intake duct off, then replace the plastic bush.
