Scotland 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Firenze Red
Newbie

After a long association with Subaru Foresters I have been and purchased a 2014 Freelander 2 XS in Firenze red and so far very pleased with it. It was a main dealer courtesy car with 5K miles. Took a big hit on my diesel Forester XC but I was getting fed up with the poor aftersales service from Subaru UK and the local dealer.

Welcome

Out of interest what Subaru dealer was it? I also own an Impreza so I've had a few run ins with dealers about it. Out of most in the Central Belt AF Nobles just south of Edinburgh seem to be the only ones with half a clue Rolling Eyes

Subaru dealers

First two Foresters came from Town & County, third and fourth from John R Weir. The current dealer in Perth is Auto services Perth. Subaru UK not a great deal of help either. The last one, a diesel Forester XC came with an after care package ETCo, everything taken care of. Tried to claim for a minor bodywork scratch but was never called back. I liked the cars, it was just the aftersales that was rubbish.

that's a shame Sad

Most manufacturers are heading that way now. I complained to Subaru UK about issues with my tracker and the local dealers lack of assistance. Although the reply was very polite they basically told me that it wasn't their problem Censored

Volvo have been exactly the same with the C30 we bought brand new 2 years ago... which is why it now looks like a Freelander 2 Laughing

Scotland 2014 Freelander 2 TD4_e Dynamic Manual Fuji White

Town & County Subaru were really good! We purchased 4 brand new Sti's from them over the years Thumbs Up

Lawrence of Kemnay (Ford main dealer) who now have the dealership are absolute clowns! Total asshole sales with Censored customer service! We bought a brand new 2011 Sti from them and never took it back!

All our Pro R remapping has been done by Ian Grieve Subaru (Falkirk) as they are a main dealer the cars warranty has not been affected! Excellent dealer worth the travel Thumbs Up MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Disco Sport

I have a Disco sport on loan today whilst my Freelander is serviced. Cannot wait to take it back and get my Freelander. Tiny back window, tiny mirrors, I do not like it at all. Two tiny seats in the boot for kids which mean you cannot have a spare wheel, just the puncture kit. Perhaps when the new engine comes along those that want high MPG will like it. I'll stick with the Freelander all the time it is reliable as I do not do many miles (4,000) per year the MPG isn't important.
