Think I might stick my winter tyres on tonight, might as well make the most of them |

I put mine on yesterday, not so much because they're needed yet but because I had a bit of spare time. That's about the extent of my winter prep, apart from ensuring that there's a blanket in the back! (Things like a tow rope and folding snow shovel live in the car all the time.) |

never bothered with the blanket or shovel, the half mile walk home won't be too bad

I've never had to use them yet, but up here the blanket and shovel are good to have on board. Mind you, the folding shovel is only for unanticipated emergencies - if there's snow forecast I put the full size version in the back! |

I'm debating an early change of the Wranglers, they are probably running just over 4mm so decisions decisions! Also got a little bag of goodies in the boot to make a brew, some food along with all the usual tow strap etc.

If you do any long distance motoring the blanket in the back is a good idea, which I have plus my walking boots if you really have to abandon it, but also in my boot bag is a previously used (to use a car salesman's term) jam jar which contains several night lights and a box of matches.

Spray all door/boot seals etc with seal spray otherwise they rip apart in a really cold frost. I have replaced 2 seals because of frost. This also makes opening all the doors much easier. |
