I have a July 2007 HSE which was advertised as having DAB. However when I try and cycle through FM1 FM2 DAB1 DAB2 the two DAB's are missing. There is a fuse in the DAB Fuse Socket, the book is full of instructions for DAB, but the NS rear window does not have a connector on the aerial.

Trade description comes into play then if they sold you a vehicle that was advertised as having DAB but does not have it. Personally I would return to the supplying dealer and ask for a demonstration of the system. If they can't show you then some free goodies should be the order of the day ![]() 2011 Full Fat RR 4.4 TDV8 2012 FL2 SD4 Auto HSE 2013 Kawasaki Versys 650 |

That is an argument for next week thanks Dave, but in the mean time it would be nice to have a more experienced owner tell me I am wrong and that all I have to do is press the hooter for 3 seconds while standing on one leg - to make it all work. |

There's no need to press any button for X secs to make DAB work, just repeated press of FM button

Ok, this isn't really a solution as there are a number of other variables that need to be in place, but when the conditions are right, it is brill.

I know this is a old thread but if any one wants to fit a easy retro fit dab purchase a Autodab unit. The unit simply connects to your oem radio via rds transmition channel names etc come on screen.

I think that the "Digital" FM button refers to the phase locked loop technique for building an FM tuner so it's still analogue. Mind you, DAB reception is a bit flaky outside major towns (bit like 3G phone signals) I had a discussion once with a bloke down the road who swore that he could get DAB on his radio. It turned out that he had been listening to FM for a couple of years and didn't realise it.

Taking Turboextreme's advice for a retrofit, I've just had a Dabmotion Rola Dab unit fitted in the nearside rear quarter near to the factory fit boot light behind the panel. The remote control fits on the dash just under the START button with double sided tape.
