Help with Radio Bezel Removal

Hi, I'm trying to remove the radio from my FL2 and have successfully removed top cover, then 4 srcews holding the top and then the manual says pull the bezel forward. I can get the the bezel to move at the top but seems reluctant to move all the way, picture 5. Not wishing to break the plastic, am I missing something?

A fairly firm tug is needed holding onto both sides by the heater controls, it is only clipped in, but very securely !!

A trim panel lever would be very handy as this reduces the risk of snapping the clips

Thanks RogB. Just wanted to make sure - you never know whether Landrover might have put a sneaky additional PK screw somewhere and forgot to mention it needs removal. Its going to need a really big tug. Can you recall where the additional clips are so that I can put some leverage in the appropriate area. I've seen the retaining ones towards the top.

I was right!!!!

They forgot to tell me to remove the 2 screws which are hidden underneath the little mat which can just be seen at the bottom of pici 4, which means there are 6 screws to be removed not 4. These are Landrover instructions.

Thanks Landrover!! Nearly had to fork out for a new bezel if I had cracked the plastic.

Now am the king of radio bezel removals.

You only need to remove 4 screws, theres an extra 2 screws that hold the cubby hole box in place and fasten it to the radio surround. I found that out when I had to remove the radio facia. Looking at the picture the arrows point to the screws holding the sat nav in place or as in my car the cubby box. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

You're right - you do only need to remove 4 screws, but the arrows point to the 4 screws at the top and have missed the important 2 at the bottom which do have to be removed. Picture shows the bottom lugs.

Never mind - as the picture shows, the bezel is off now!!

Thanks for help and inputs.
