Yesterday I fitted a set of Evoque 18" rims won on a popular auction site, a bargain they were too! I went this route as the front Tyres were running low (although still legal) on tread. These new rims have Verdes on them with decent amount of tread left.

Now what to do with the old rims?

Drove mine back from the Harz Mountains yesterday. Nice drive on the autobahn at mainly 90-110mph, before hitting the speed limits in Holland and Belgium. Average speed over the whole trip 63mph, average consumption 32mpg (but it's an auto and drove it a bit fast!) Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months

Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

Gave DPF filter a a good clean!!!! On a Long steep uphill overtaking lane, sport mode and went for it, kept foot flat down whole way.
Plenty of revs with engine working hard. Have done this with 2 freelanders and 2 Mercs in which we do a big mileage. Never a DPF problem. All FL2's (3) Gone

Just finished brake pads change, new steering reservoir and fluid, wheel arch trims and an intense whole car 'back to showroom, clean and polish & seal, leather treatment etc.

Took me the best part of a week to do but it looks too good to drive now.
