Hi all. just wanted to say hello, and touch base with everyone.
I have just retired to France, (Basse Normandie) so if there are any forum members near me I would be glad to hook up and compare notes. Would like to know of any specialist LR garages as opposed to main stealers.
Also, I have a query, (first of many I'm sure)..... as I say, it took me 6 weeks to find what I beleive is the right car, at the right price, and right mileage with all options. Problem is, it is German registered. (Don't mention the war)!!! While that is not a problem for registering here in France, the dashboard display is obviously in German, so my question is, would it be possible to change that to another language?

Dash screen language can be changed from German to English or other languages depending on the build market specification for that vehicle. For example my dear lady's Swiss FL2 can be switched from German to English to French to Italian. Unless you have a diagnostics tool it is a trip to a dealer or skilled indie to interrogate and change the vehicle's CCF.

Hello all, just wanted to say hi.

Assuming I can either sell my Kia Sportage for a good price or get a good trade in, I will soon hopefully be the owner of a used FL2. Always always wanted a Freelander. Don't have a massive need for one but screw it. Sportage drives like and the FL2 I test drove was lovely.

Now the question is what trim. Newer car with less miles and lower trim level or older car more miles higher trim. Decisions decisions

Hello all. I bought a 2008 LR2 a month ago and have been looking around to find answers on some upgrades. Of course mine didn't come with the NAV package so I'm about to put a Magellan 1700 in the dash - found the install procedures on another forum. Next on the list are some chrome accents and body colored door handles. Found the install procedures for the door handles on this forum but it is missing some pictures.
Look forward to many enjoyable years with the little Rover and searching through this forum for ideas... I can't leave well enough alone... I'm always tinkering with it...

After having a good look through the topics on this forum it all seems very interesting
I thought I would have a change of car after a few years of getting stuck in the white stuff in my Mondeo estate in the Lake district so 3 weeks ago I ordered a new Freelander , I went in to order an XS but was told lr no longer manufacture them so ended up with a SE TECH which was cheaper and had nearly all the extras I had spec'd as standard other than a heated steering wheel and front parking sensors
new car due on the 15 July 2014 CAN'T WAIT
