Replacing battery

Battery flat when I went to start it this morning. So bought new one as I am going abroad
next month. What needs to be done after I've changed it. Will I lose anything?? Cheers 2013 Dynamic Santorini black

Maybe any fault codes stored but radio will be fine. You may have to reset the windows but not sure.

battery change

I had to disconect my battery when fitting an eletronic brake controler and the problem that I had was that the reversing camera would not work and had to be reset which was a fairly complicated procedure ,took me about 3 days to work it out .Then recently I had to change the battery so I used my ctek battery charger on supply mode and kept the vechicle alive while changing battery, worked no worries.

Thanks chaps, done! What a pain in the arse to do! Ended up with a jubillee clip on
each terminal with rope attached and my missus lifting a wooden bar 'til I could get
a grip! How do you do it? 2013 Dynamic Santorini black

I removed the two positive cables, left the connector block on the positive terminal, looped a cable tie around it and effed and jeffed until it came out! Fitting the new one was easier as it had a handle built into it. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

How could he be expected to lift the battery out with a can of XXXX in one hand and a fag in the other?.… FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

Probably best not to have a fag when dealing with batteries. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

I would have taken the passenger seat out, took the bonnet off, and removed the windscreen, got in the car and pulled from above. More leverage Whistle

Used the car today after replacing the battery. I don't know whether it is my imagination,
but the car seems a lot livelier, going up hills in a higher gear, and 4 mpg extra. Is this
possible? Surprised 2013 Dynamic Santorini black

There is a forum member who had a badly made earth lead which caused all kinds of problems with his FL2 for a couple of years. It could be that when you changed the battery you improved the earth on your car.
It could be just a placebo effect.

I had already added another earth lead after reading about the mod on
FL2 forum, so possibly reject that theory??. 2013 Dynamic Santorini black
