Stratstone Milton Keynes said "£347 all inclusive of parts, labour & VAT, and this is for the full top spec manufacturer service" although Solihull would be equally as convenient especially if they offered it at £299.

Regarding retaining the warranty service stamps, it is my understanding that as long as whoever services the car uses genuine LR filters and equivalent standard oil etc, that the warranty would not be affected.

I know this thread is a bit old but I thought I'd update it with my experience of arranging my first service today.

I have to say that I take a somewhat dim view of dealers that quote you a figure, possibly way over what others are quoting and then immediately drop it to match when you quote the competition. I know that's how markets work but

Do agree. I would have liked to have used cheapest dealer but they are now over an hour away whereas my local one is 5 mins! I will give them a try but if I am not happy with their service I will make the effort to back to Roger Youngs whose service has always been good.

Taking up an earlier point above, new FR2s no longer have a service book to stamp. "No need - it's all on the computer". Seems like a sneaky way of trying to shut out non-franchise dealers. Either way, it's suddenly rather important to keep all your servicing paperwork. |

It also makes you wonder that when they drop the price do they cut corners on the service? |
