I would certainly like some snow to put the new winter tyres through their paces but from what I have read, this will be a brief cold snap then back to hideous mild. The snow should be confined to higher ground to the north. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

The likes of the Daily Express are saying next week we will get 4 inches (oo-er missus!) Local weather forecaster, Paul Stevens, who is normally very good has been saying its rubbish. However on twitter tonight he saying at the moment the latest computer models are pointing to a significant snowfall on the weekend of the 23rd November across northern England. One to watch out for. The Daily Express are obsessed with reporting the weather, endless doom laden forecasts of death & destruction. That and bloody Diana Princess of Wales of course... ...

Slightly off topic but I was working in South Africa when Diana died. I used to the get the ex-pats edition of the Express, it came out once a week. For 6 months the front page was always about Diana.

My first visual memory was Lily Avenue, Wargrave, Newton-le-Willows in the 1947 winter (I was 3). We lived at the head of a short cul-de-sac and the men all helped to dig channels along the pavements so we could walk. I remember the snow well above my head (it was bedroom-window deep in parts).

The Express and James Madden are full of sh t. I've heard that this will only be a cold spell not prolonged and then mild temps back in charge albeit not as mild as of late. I don't like mild temps but the plus side is that the Express and James Madden will be a laughing stock (again) LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |

I follow a couple of weather people on twitter, just because I want to know when it will snow. At the moment it seems the computer models are all over the place, no one knows what's going to happen. They agree its going to get cold! The experts all mock the Daily Express, they do like to over exaggerate the weather! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
