Snow On The Way

Just looking at next weeks weather and early indications are temps dropping and snow forecast , I am retired and only get to drive the car at weekends as mrs uses it daily for work . Gone through the Terrain Response/HDC with her , its all hills where we live/she works so will be interested in how FL2 copes this winter .

My wife hates the snow and refuses to drive in it Rolling Eyes
What means I have to drive her to work at 5:30am then come back home jump in to my work van to get my self to work, then get home jump back in the freely to pick her up Whistle
Jesus I hope it doesn't snow this year and what you read was wrong Sheep

Use the freely to take her and pick her up as my front wheel drive van would never make it to where she works.... Rolling Eyes BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

I would certainly like some snow to put the new winter tyres through their paces but from what I have read, this will be a brief cold snap then back to hideous mild. The snow should be confined to higher ground to the north. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

The likes of the Daily Express are saying next week we will get 4 inches (oo-er missus!) Local weather forecaster, Paul Stevens, who is normally very good has been saying its rubbish. However on twitter tonight he saying at the moment the latest computer models are pointing to a significant snowfall on the weekend of the 23rd November across northern England. One to watch out for. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Same here Slaneydore, up early to take Mrs to work about 20 miles away, then back home see to dog then out to work myself, leave work, see to the dog, off to pick the mrs up, nearly 100o miles in a 3-4 week period a winter or two back. All I got was odd twenty quid for Dieseal, well that's how much I put in the Yaris Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad was all she said !

Mind you I didn't mind really, but don,t tell her that, main thing is she got to work safely Thumbs Up

The Daily Express are obsessed with reporting the weather, endless doom laden forecasts of death & destruction. That and bloody Diana Princess of Wales of course... Confused ...

Slightly off topic but I was working in South Africa when Diana died. I used to the get the ex-pats edition of the Express, it came out once a week. For 6 months the front page was always about Diana.

The Express does like to push its weather stories, most don't seem to come true! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

more doom and gloom from the daily express!!

6 inches of snow next week and 100 days of snow over the winter, will be just like the winter of 47!!

My first visual memory was Lily Avenue, Wargrave, Newton-le-Willows in the 1947 winter (I was 3). We lived at the head of a short cul-de-sac and the men all helped to dig channels along the pavements so we could walk. I remember the snow well above my head (it was bedroom-window deep in parts).

Doubt we'll get any snow down here - none at all last winter although there was a little in the previous two winters. It's apparently very rare to get snow twice running here in the far south west. Rain, sea mist, gales, blowing sand, salt in the air are all common!

Today was cloudy, still and around 10 degrees. Great weather for golf Thumbs Up Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

The Express and James Madden are full of sh Censored t. I've heard that this will only be a cold spell not prolonged and then mild temps back in charge albeit not as mild as of late. I don't like mild temps but the plus side is that the Express and James Madden will be a laughing stock (again) LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I follow a couple of weather people on twitter, just because I want to know when it will snow. At the moment it seems the computer models are all over the place, no one knows what's going to happen. They agree its going to get cold! The experts all mock the Daily Express, they do like to over exaggerate the weather! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
