I had a feeling it was someone on here who bumped the price up Laughing
Had them in my watch list for a while and Golf Nut asked about where's the best place to find side mouldings and I thought please don't know one send him that link Whistle

After seeing SteveC's post, I did a search for 'Freelander 2 side mouldings' and that's where I saw them! I've just ordered the 」110 ones. Mind you, they do include free postage whereas the 」83 ones were plus 」12 postage so only 」15 difference in the end. Even less difference for me if I'd had topped your bid or worse still, more than 」110 if I'd have got bidding fever! Laughing Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

What is it about them you don't like Question

I'm still debating and the only thing that tells me no is they sit to low and sit out a little far for my liking,,, did look in to a way to see if I could modify the brackets or steps to get them in a bit, but I don't think there is Big Cry BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

I think i don't like the bright alluminum edge, I might paint it the same colour as the wheels so they don't stand out so much.

No-one is having a dig at you Slaneydore, you actually contribute worthwhile info to this forum as an OWNER of a FL2. I think that you will find that it is aimed at a certain fantasist from around the 7' O'clock position on the M25, who has a similar fetish about Ford Fiestas and Washing Machines! A simple Google search of his username will tell you all you need to know..... Laughing Foraging near Gaydon....

To fit the brackets to the underneath you need a rivnut tool (powerfuluk 」14) which fixes them into pre drilled holes in the chassis.
There's no drilling needed as the plastic side trims pull off (held on with plastic clips), when off you need to make 3 slots in each side with a stanley knife ( markings on backs where to cut).

If i can fit them anyone can Laughing

Sorry mate but I dont think you've done your FL2 any favours in the looks dept with those sidesteps. To me they look totally out of place on a FL2 . But its yours, so do what you like. You may find that being so low they dont protect your doors as much as you had hoped - in that other vehicles doors may open above the side steps. Maybe the OEM door strips would work as well- easier to fit too.

He has done what he likes, and it looks perfectly proportioned with the steps. Suppose mine looks out of place as well :D
