Land Rover, the company are very much like their cars aren't they? When they perform and get it right they are excellent and second to none, When they don't.............. but why go there, this is one of those excellent moments and should be celebrated and they should be congratulated, for impressive customer service and suppport. |

That's good - shame you had to pay the other 25% though as you said a diff should last more than 4 years - what mileage have you done? |

Mileage was 36k, which is way too low for diff trouble. It's a common fault which probably influenced Land Rivers decision, however I'm glad I asked rather than just footing the bill. 2009 FL2 GS

LR have changed their attitude since the diff on my 07 plate went at less than 20k miles approx. 2 years ago and would NOT contribute "Jack Sh*t" to a 」600.00 plus bill and had to do the job 3 times as the first developed oil leaks meaning a 100 mile round trip each but did put 」70.00 of fuel in it on the last occasion. It's not all it's cracked up to be, waiting weeks for parts, suspension parts changed more often than the oil, so many claims they turn down especially after three years when they then use the wear and tear to great effect. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

I agree with the Kia warranty comments, having worked for a Korean company, the extended warranty is a cheap marketing trick to flood the market with goods, keeps the competition down and has been stated they will fight tooth and nail with the wear and tear card to get you to pay when a problem arises. |

The VAG group had a problem on their 2.0 TDI 170 BHP engine from 06 to 09. They changed the injector which resulted in many breakdowns (me included) if you engine suffered from one of these injectors VAG will change it free of charge. It affected Audi, Seat, Skoda and VW. No recall was given as I reckon it would cost them an arm and a leg! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker. Gone MY2010 Freelander 2 Manual TD4.e S, Alaska White. |
