At 13MY the freelander electrics were updated to similar to Evoque, if your car is 13MY you need the correct electrics which are just plug and play, no coding needed.Upto 12MY there is a separate towing module fitted in lh rear wing and needs dealer to activate it. |

That is very interesting! I will need to do some investigating as although my FL2 MY is early January 2013 I wounder if the modification to accept plug and play was carried out on it. If yes then I will have a spare LR wireing loom for sale. |

If your car is 13MY ( easy to tell as 13MY has led daytime running lamps) then it will be the new plug and play, the electrics changed for 13My so all cars are the same. |

Well after all that the correct towing electrics for my MY13 Freelander 2 is vplft0106 for the 13 pin and vplft0105 for the the 12 N S one.
