Now,now do not get all nationalistic on me - be rest assured all the nationals here in Scotland could teach people down south a lesson on good manners.

If they want to risk their life then that's fine by me, bash on. I let them go.

Not at all, having lived here for 20 years I regard Scotland as my home now so I do not feel contradicted.

I remember one time having to block an idiot over taking me in a 30 zone, outside shop and post office in local town, he had been agressivley tailgating me for 1/2 mile or so, then tried to overtake in a riduculous place,

Personally I'd rather leave a decent amount space between me and the vehicle in front and I expect the person behind me to do the same. It makes for much more relaxed driving, allows for much better vision ahead and gives plenty of time to adjust speeds up or down as appropriate. It also makes for easier overtaking by me as I can build up some speed before pulling out and I have good vision ahead. That is how I was taught to ride motorcycles and drive cars. I was also taught to make progress, which is something that seems to be lacking, but above all, to ride to ARRIVE. |

Ah, so more is revealed! An ex (maybe frustrated?) HGV driver missing out on the convoy syndrome (allegedly to save fuel.....yeah right!....we've all seen you too many times on the motorways, the unfortunate results are history)
