Get a flat screw driver and at the front you should see two slight recesses left and right, gingerly prize with screw driver and push down,...the clip should become visible and it will fall down Current: Freelander 2 GS, Orkney Grey, Factory fit privacy glass, design pack and Clearview pack. Almond Leather ,rear spoiler, rear mudflaps.my13.

Now you know how to remove the front interior light how about an upgrade? I've fitted one from a Ford Focus hi spec car as these have switched map lights as well. You need a pair of small electrical snips to cut away a little of the LR internal stiffener. I've fitted an LED festoon however I haven't sorted out the map light bulbs as the electrical polarity is the wrong way round for standard bayonet LED's.

Ford Mondeo lights are a simple replacement - no cutting, 100% perfect fit just pop in.

Has anybody solved finding LED bulbs with bayonet fitting to use in the map lights? The ones I bought for fitting are the wrong polarity.
