I thought it was already in place to be honest?? As in all new cars from 'X' date are to be fitted with them.

They can't enforce or demand they are retrofitted to older veh's. 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto

But the MY11 facelift was introduced in September 2010, before the law came out.

All MY13s come with DRLs. As you say, the UK lighting pack adds front fog lights, and signature LEDs (instead of just a spotlight led in the headlight) Thumbs Up

Still reckon its a stupid idea, you can't see a big red double decker bus but put two three inch circular lights on it and it makes it be seen, someone needs their eyes testing. Next time your on the motorway look in the mirror, in the distance what do you see first, a forty ton Scania, or a little strip of fairy lights? All this has done has made the motor cyclist less noticeable, whereas before they were more obvious with a Headlight, now it just by other light. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

So you prefer weird fairy lights to a little red badge Whistle

Each to their own, although I do agree with AD about motor cycles, yes lights in general will lead to more being seen but they will also make sheeple complacent as they will look for the lights and not for the bike/car, it is a safety feature not a styling feature therefore all cars should have the same device.

All part of the dumbing down of driving.
