Cant turn on signature lights

Dears... I just purchased a Land Rover Freelander 2 2lt. Turbo, HSE Si4 (petrol) and it does come with the signature lights (7 or 8 led lights all in circle on the front). however i have not yet figured out how to turn them on until now. I observe they do turn on when i open the doors with the key ...but that is about it. are these called the day driving lights?? (DRLs)

The DRLs should be on all of the time when you have no light on and the engine is running.

I'd have thought the signature lights would be the DRLs?

No. Signature strips are separate to the LED Cluster, which all MY2013 feature as standard. The strips are optional/part of the Xenon pack, apart from Dynamic/HSE/HSE Lux which come with them as standard. HSE Lux get the Xenons as standard, HSE gets Projectors.
