just ot throw the cat among the pigeons I use a philishave that can be used both wet and dry.
i use it dry if I just want a shave, and wet if I'm in the shower, it gives a closer shave wet .

790c is a very good piece of kit, I have two and a 390c.

790c is the better but expensive. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

You could always do what the Ladyboys do to stop it growing, whatever that is, of course you might end up having to shave your tits off then. Shocked

Well, after further deliberation and reading reviews from 'experts' and consumers, I have purchased one of these: http://www.shavers.co.uk/product.php?product_id=1238

Sounds superior to my Philishave on all fronts and no bloodbath. Self clean will be useful! Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Good choice. I went from a Phillishave CoolSkin to Braun 790cc, and was so pleased with it, I bought a Series 3 to keep at my other place. Be warned - the Cartridges are very dear, and last only about a month. Apart from that, you'll probably never return to Philips again - I didn't!! Foraging near Gaydon....

Cartridges last a lot longer if you remove the cartridge from the cleaner and reseal it with the bungs, thus stopping the evaporation Thumbs Up p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Wet shave all they way, forced to shave when I joined the forces at 16 and never found a single dry shaver since that can match a decent wet shave; no matter what anyone claims a dry shave is never as close as a wet shave Smile

Whilst preferring a wet shave, I mostly use a Braun electric razor just for time and convenience.

A tip for wet shavers, shave with the grain first and then against the grain (saw this on a TV prog a few years back) 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

dry shave every-time & I have used Braun triple head foil shavers. about the closest I have ever got to a wet shave,
I have noticed that the shave is closer if you shave then wash, also if you dry shave you need to stick to the same for several weeks for best effect, swapping from wet to dry has a negative effect for some reason. Thumbs Up

I've a photo to prove EY looks like a tramp.

EY was seen seen by me at CG's farm clutching a bottle of wine in a brown paper bag.
Proof indeed of a wino tramp Rolling with laughter Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
