Definitely a pleasure. I bought a pack of 10 'Merkur super' blades from the same seller but the new razor also came with one new Merkur blade. I assume it was a 'super' too. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

My life! I am really glad I am in the 10% that don't bother shaving at all having read this thread. Reminds me why I gave it up in 1974. An extra half hour in bed in the morning, no sore neck or razor burn, extra cash in my pocket to do something enjoyable with!!! |

I have just gone back to using a DE razor. I use an electric wet and dry for daily shave to keep growth down and the DE for when I have to go out or for work meetings. I use a normal gel with the electric, but just use extra virgin olive oil for the DE shave. It is excellent, razor glides nicely and really smooth skin after with no burn. I have checked and the shaving oils in very small expensive bottles are mainly olive oil or similar. So, a 250ml bottle of EV olive oil from Morrisons at a similar price to these little bottles and I am happy. When shaving fill basin with hot soapy water to rinse razor to stop clogging and job done. Can also keep razor with blade soaked in oil to stop any deterioration between shaves. Job done! 2011 XS SD4, Indus Silver (Getting to love it more and more)
