I've got the original Goodyear's fitted to mine and have done about 18000, there's still quite a bit of life left in them yet.

40,000 with 4 mm rear 3 mm on Pirelli's, changed them last week for new ones

44,000 miles on my original Goodyear Wranglers - by far the longest lasting tyres on any car I have owned and a great all season tyre - so have given her a pressie of a new set of the same.

37000 on a set of Pirelli scorpion zeros with 2mm on front and 3mm on the rear. Just had a set of Goodyear Wranglers fitted. 2011 HSE.

31k on a set of scorpions and i still have 3 and 4mm all round - happy days!!

OEM Continental 4x4 Contact's down to 2mm at 25600 miles. Just been changed for 3 brand new and the unused spare, keeping best of the old as the spare. Good deal from HiQ on new ones.

32,00kms (20,000 miles) on my Conti's CrossContact UHP's.

Down to the wear markers so I'm having new tyres fitted next week.

They have all worn evenly but I'm getting a wheel alignment done at the same time in the hope I'll get a more Kms out of them.

Any one here carried a 5 wheel tire rotation, I was thinking of doing a 5 wheel rotate every 5000 kls to average out wear and keep all tires about the same diameter. Dont know if it applies to your tyres but of youre moving your tyres around check to see if they are the directional type as if so they need to be fitted so they are rotating in the correct direction as indicated on the tyre wall.
Especially important I would have thought if youre bringing the spare into use.

Most cars are now supplied without a spare, and those that have one tend to have the steel wheel, which may have a different size tyre (yes, it's legal!). Personally, I regard my spare as "just in case", so I keep an old but legal tyre on it. A short bit of driving until I get the main tyre repaired shouldn't make any difference to the transmission.
I suppose if you have directional tyres (eg Wintracs) you ought technically to carry two spares, but in practice a short period of use, during which you adjust your driving accordingly, isn't going to matter.

No 5 wheel rotation here but I notice that my spare tyre is getting on a bit.

It's showing it was made in 2007 but although its a conti contact UHP, it's now an older tread pattern than the newer version UHP so I don't really wish to mix it with my other tyres. ie: Buy 3 tyres and use the spare keeping the best of the last set as a spare instead.

I think I'll have to just keep it as a spare and only use it in emergencies.

I still have the 16" wheels fitted. On target to get 14k out of the front & backs. 215/75 16's. Conti's 4x4. So I think very poor. Will go for wranglers next, only choice I have with 16" wheels That's if I have not upgraded my wheels by then. Landy has now gone.

I had to replace mine at 30k miles-about 2mm tread remaining.

50,000 kms on the first set of Wrangler HT's, 85,000kms on the second set which were Yokohama Geolander ATS and currently on 60,000kms on the 3rd set which are Maxxis Bravo AT700 and probably 80% worn. The AT tyres last a lot longer as does a slightly bigger size.
