Shocked My Audi A4 only used to get around 18,000 miles on a set of front tyres! I can't remember what make mine are (cross contact?) but I looked at them recently and they looked like they would last a while longer. My car has done nearly 20,000 miles.

26000 miles on my Continental 4x4 Contact 235/65/17. Old ones were down to 3mm but needed a minimum of 4mm in Austria.

Re: tyres how long will thay last

Still running with 16's on my FL2. 215/75 16's. On target to get 16k out of my full set. 4x4 conti's. Quite poor mileage I think. Won't go with conti's again. Not that I have much choice with 16's Laughing Will go for Goodyear next, if I have not up rated my alloys by then Smile
Had 50k from a set of Bridgestone er300's on the back of my Astra once Smile Landy has now gone.

12000 out of the first set on my A3, I am now on 23000 miles and the fronts are about gone again.

I don't drive it hard, it just eats tyres! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Too many variables to decide how long a tyre should last.

Only did 15,000 Kms on a set of Yoko's in my Evo. Not surprising really especially when they had a tread wear of 160.
My last set of Contis UHP's lasted 30,000kms but they are still fairly soft for a 4x4 tyre at a tread ware of 420.

Soft tyre = more grip, less Mileage
Hard tyre = less grip, more miles.

It's finding what suits the driver best I guess.

Alf are your tyres M&S?

Even 40k miles seems quite fair...

I had those Pirelli Scorpion Zeros and got rid of them at 22 K. What I found in the winter was that the FL was sliding around when pushed on any slush, snow or ice. When I looked closer, the sipes in the tread blocks actually dissapear once the tyre gets down to 3 to 4mm so, although ok for the summer, it would be dangerous to take these down to the wear bars in winter imho. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

FL1 HSE TD4 Manual Black - Gone.
RR Classic V8 EFI - Gone
