My Audi A4 only used to get around 18,000 miles on a set of front tyres! I can't remember what make mine are (cross contact?) but I looked at them recently and they looked like they would last a while longer. My car has done nearly 20,000 miles. |

26000 miles on my Continental 4x4 Contact 235/65/17. Old ones were down to 3mm but needed a minimum of 4mm in Austria. |

Still running with 16's on my FL2. 215/75 16's. On target to get 16k out of my full set. 4x4 conti's. Quite poor mileage I think. Won't go with conti's again. Not that I have much choice with 16's Will go for Goodyear next, if I have not up rated my alloys by then

Too many variables to decide how long a tyre should last.

I had those Pirelli Scorpion Zeros and got rid of them at 22 K. What I found in the winter was that the FL was sliding around when pushed on any slush, snow or ice. When I looked closer, the sipes in the tread blocks actually dissapear once the tyre gets down to 3 to 4mm so, although ok for the summer, it would be dangerous to take these down to the wear bars in winter imho.
