What about Autologic remaps. They do a diagnostic machine which does full dealer diagnostis and it can also remap all Landrovers. Plus they have a full technical landrover trained support team at the end of the phone. These guys make there own diagnostic software so there maps must be safe and made correctly. Going to do my car soon just running it in then it will be getting the Autologic treatment. Im only remapping mine for better fuel consumption, Getting 38.7mpg manual gear box and im hoping for over 40mpg after remap. Plus if there is any problems the standard map can be put back on at no charge and the ecu counter reprogrammed so there is no way of knowing it has been touched. I used to work in the dealers at York and I dont ever remember any warranty work not been done because of a remap. Dealers get paid by landrover for doing warranty work, So Landrover themselfs is there best customer but they have to wait 30days ish to get paid. |

Explain why it would destroy engines 'wholesale' I have been using Bluefin for over 5 years on mine and near on 50,000 miles. I am still on the same Dual Mass flywheel (which is still perfect), and the engine doesn't miss a beat and never uses any oil. JE and Superchips are without doubt the best two companies who offer reliable re-maps for the 2.2 TD4. They both have spent hundreds of hours perfectly what they offer. Big Dave understands how this all works and I agree with him 100%. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. If remaps destroyed engines wholesale the company wouldn't survive the litigation. I have had something in the region of a dozen cars remapped and probably covered close to 300k miles with remapped engines and all without any engine failures and 2 of those cars were very highly tuned diesels built by Triple 8 Engineering who built the Vauxhall Touring race cars and the current MG6 race cars. eh tu? |

Totally agree, apart from the 888 Astra diesels were only about 180 bhp and 295lb/ft Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

The T8 Astra CDTi was rated at 200 horses and my second one had an estimated 196 on the RR. having owned 2 of them, one from new and given my experience of chipped diesels 200 horses was not an exageration. Having said that as a dieselhead I prefer to talk torque..... eh tu? |

I am with you on the tuned diesels Adrian I was also involved with 888 when Thurlby commissioned them to do the 888 edition Astra's and unfortunately non of them produced the 330lb/ft thiat the EDS software promised. Non hit 200bhp either.

I ocassionally pop back to the AON forum, I know Andrew from when he set up the owners club and my second T8 was his car which he sold to me to fund building 'the hearse'. I do still miss the T8 and keep looking on p/heads at the ads and dream..... Now you know why I am Adrian888!! I did consider a DTUK 'tuning box which Andrew sells for the Freelander and have used them on a Saab and Honda. eh tu? |

I'm on my 3rd remapped Freelander (1st two each had 60,000 miles on the clock) and never had engine problems, never had a Dealer carryout a "rip off" priced service either. |

friend of mine has just had his td4"158 bhp" mapped using a superchips Bluefin, the difference is amazing ,there is no need to use the pedal, the weight of your foot is enough, but power and torque when needed is unreal.5th and 6th gear on the manual are useable everyday gears now.midrange is very pokey especially 3rd gear.he's a happy bunny. |
