Goodyear Wrangler HP AW tend to last longer than the equivalent Continentals.

My Pirellis have done 33k so far. The fronts weren't swapped at the last service, if they were I could prob get another 5k out of them. All in all a great tyre for the car. IMHO, stick with the tyres that the manufactuer sticks on them.... 2010MY Freelander 2 HSE Auto

My last Audi only used to do around 18,000 miles on a set of front tyres! MY FL2 has done about 19,700 miles now and the tyres still look like they have a few thousand miles left. |

As another option, if you have a local dealer/garage who will fit them, it may be worth having a look at http://www.mytyres.co.uk/

Just replaced my original Continentals at 26k. Had about 3mm left on them but had a nail in one of them which was not repairable so decided to change all four. Had intended putting General Grabber UHPs on as I had used on my Touareg, but decided in the end to try Nexen Roadian HP's. I'm on 236x65x17 and they are 108V M+S Extra load with what appears better rim protection. Total cost including fitting at home, disposal of old tyres, balance and new valve; £353.32. Fitted by Event Tyres. I have no connection with them other than using in the past and finding their service excellent. |
