You'll be pleased to know my spare fob, after at least 8 months of no use worked

Once I'd unlocked the car with the other key and it had a little charge, but I seam to recall that's why I swapped it, due to it been a little hit and miss, it opened all the windows earlier, even though I had released the button Confused Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I swap mine every day. Usually only me drives it. The keys hang in a key box in an inner hallway with no windows or outside doors.

I've just labelled them 1 and 2, and use them on days with en odd or even date. Works for me don't have to think about it much.

In two and a half years use, both my wife's and my FL2's have only used one key each, so prompted by this thread, we both swapped, and it's as if they were used yesterday, no issues!

Andy.

Two and half years, that surprises me that any charge would be left in the unused one especially as the manual advises no more than 6 months.
Good to know Thumbs Up

Yep two and a half years languishing in the draw of unused keys! Both were fine!

Fob swap.

I try to change fobs every Saturday. Don't always remember, but mostly it's a weekly change.
