I know thats what I have to do on my Golf - switch off ignition and flick wiper switch down within 5 seconds or something. I bet it's the same for the FL. |

In the version I have it's in the 'wipers and washers' section, second to last page (91) in a subsection headed 'Setting the wipers to the service position'. But I believe there are different versions out there, so it may not be the same in yours. |

Strange, I eventually found it in the MY09 manual but for some mysterious reason its omitted from the MY11

The version I was using is an 09 pdf downloaded from the LR site last year, which fits with what you say. |

I tried it on my MY2011 and it worked they parked vertically.

2013 MY has a winter wiper park function which can be set using the new for 2013 information screen between the rev counter and speedometer using the right hand buttons on the steering wheel. |
