What is interesting are the comments about bigger arch gap and the tyres being too small etc. It does cause an optical illusion because the gap from the top of the wheel arch to the top of the tyre is just 2.5mm bigger than it was with the 19's.

It just gives the illusion of the arch being more empty. What I would say though, is that in the metal the tyres look more chunky than in the photos. I do agree that the Michelin tyres do look a little smooth.

I love the look of the 20's. So much so, there is a set of alloys just the same sitting in my spare room waiting to go on come the end of the winter.

But I still have to get tyres.

As you've got the 245/45 tyres on at the moment, can you tell me how much space there is between the sidewall and the strut on the front and rear ? Just so I can guage whether 255/45 ( which matches stock size 17's ) or even 265/45 may fit.

Just have to be very careful of the kerbs.
You can tell where my sister lives with her FL2, just look for the silver line on the kerb outside

Standard 17 inch tyre is 235/65/17
